Since 1967, I have worked with lost wax casting techniques, initially, in precious metals for jewelry and small scale sculptures, and later, in full scale bronze pieces. The casting fabrication is done in a couple of amazing fine art foundries.
The bronzes often incorporate living elements of fire, water , or living plants.
I have a history of working with elements from nature, sometimes scouted in the wild , or homegrown and manipulated for form and function.
Sometimes I search for an historical, emotional component in the origin, as in the pieces taken from abandoned pioneer orchards. Other pieces are informed by classical references and on site experiences.
Some are small editions, and some are one offs. The new pieces are available to order and prices are upon request.
